Join Our Email List
When you join our email list, you’ll receive our newsletter and stay up to date on what is happening at Poverello House of Tucson including events, raffles and volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer
We currently need volunteers to check guests in and serve them food. Volunteers also need to monitor the shower area and washing machines. All volunteer duties are outside. Interested persons should call Jeanette at 909.446.5469 or email tucsonpoverello@gmail.com.
Clothing Donations
We are in need of men’s belts, t-shirts and jeans (size 28 – 38 new or used). Call 520.624.0589 to schedule a donation drop-off.
Consider organizing a drive at your church, organization or other group to collect new socks and underwear as well as gently used, clean jeans, shirts, backpacks and sleeping bags. Contact Anne at 520.908.7239 for more information.
Food Donations
If you would like to bring something for the men to enjoy, healthy protein snacks are always welcome. We recommend that they be store bought, individually wrapped, and easily portable in a backpack.
Some suggestions include: Chicken/Tuna (cans with pull tab lids or single serving pouches), Meat Jerky, Protein Bars, Trail Mix in Small Containers, Peanut Butter Squeeze Packs, Nut butters, Individual Hummus packs with Pita Chips, Vienna sausages, Individual Fresh Fruit Cups and Cheese Sticks.
